Happy New Year Everyone!!
As I step into the 25th year of my professional career, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been so supportive of my performances along the way and especially over the past year. Your generous applause is always much appreciated as are all the kind notes you send to me and your comments via Facebook & Twitter. Please keep them coming, I love to hear your thoughts and I promise to continue doing my best to respond to you all - please forgive me if I accidentally miss anything!
I thought you might like to see a montage of images of a few of my 'best bits' from 2013. I've had a really great time re-visiting some of my favourite roles and also creating a couple of new ones for you.
It was especially wonderful to finish the year with six performances of Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker. Thanks to the Global Live Cinema & TV broadcasting of the show, I've heard from friends old and new from literally all over the world. Thank you so much!
I'm not sure how 2014 could possibly top the past year, but I'm looking forward to performing in Giselle & Sleeping Beauty at The Royal Opera House and then we'll be off to Russia etc on tour....hope to see you all soon.
Much love
Gary x

'Happy New Year everyone. It's been a really busy season so far, I don't feel like my feet have touched the ground! What with the exciting 'Swan Lake' and 'Nutcracker' performances and the Global Live Cinema Screens, revisiting dear old Kotchëi in Firebird and 'Ballet Mastering' for these productions and the exciting revivals of 'Raymonda Act 3' and Wayne McGregor's 'Infra'. Life at The Royal Ballet is never dull, that's for sure!
So what's next? Well, I'm back on stage as Prince Gremin and Ballet Master for Cranko's Onegin at the end of January. It will be lovely to be dancing with Laura Morera again. Next I'll be climbing back into a shocking frock for 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' and entering the dramatic darkness of MacMillan's 'Mayerling'. No rest for the wicked!
Thanks for all your support and look forward to seeing you 'out there in the dark' sometime before we go off on tour! Japan and Monte Carlo this year. Hope to see lots of dear friends on my travels too! Wonderful! Gary x'
