David Bintley

Has choreographed many ballets for companies all over the world since 1983 and was resident choreographer at the Royal Ballet from 1986 to 1993 before leaving to become freelance. He became director of Birmingham Royal Ballet in 1995.

August Bournonville

Was a Danish ballet master and choreographer. He studied under the Italian choreographer Vincenzo Galeotti at the Royal Danish Ballet, Copenhagen, and in Paris, France, under French dancer Auguste Vestris. He initiated a unique style in ballet known as the Bournonville School.
